Do you spend a lot of time in your car? I do. And I don’t even live in L.A.!(canned laughter)

My husband bought a car for his business and I drive it sometimes. But mostly, I chill in the back seat with the baby and he cruises me around like Driving Miss Daisy. I’d almost feel rich if it weren’t just a Toyota station wagon. But hey, it’s fun to have a car and even better to have one that I don’t have to drive too much. Still, I do find myself sitting in the car a lot and I keep reading stories about how bad sitting is for us all. So, here are a handful of sweet yoga poses that anyone can do — in the car.

OK, so maybe they’re not so much yoga poses and just ways to burn a few extra calories (like 10) and how would I know? I’m not a yoga teacher and I’ve never been one, though I have taken a bunch of yoga classes for the past few years because yoga is one of the only exercises that I haven’t given up on because I hate it. I think it was mid-run that I quit running, stopping on the middle of the path and saying out loud to no one in particular, “Ahhm, yeah, screw this forever”.
