What Kind Of Friend Are You?

I’m definitely a cheerleader, but it’s got a demented side to it

In my own mind, one of my strengths is, I’m a solid friend.

OK, so sure, I don’t always remember birthdays, and many months can go by without any pokes from me, but I always have time for a friend.

I’m a good listener and I have an interesting perspective to things because of the bizarre life I’ve had.

Without getting too deep into it, I ran away from home at age 15. I have 6 half-sisters from 2 different ethnicities and a half brother and sister by marriage.

I didn’t have a relationship with my biological father until I was 12, and I spent the last 17 years working as a professional stand-up comedian and weirdo performer. I’m a child of divorce, but the recipient of lots of love from our huge Italian family.

I think I have something like 35 cousins.

You could probably read a lot into all of that.

And I can’t say I was always a dependable friend. Like anything, being a good friend takes practice. And I’m still not perfect.

I lost friends and had some heartbreaks as I learned what being a friend means. I swear my heart…
