My son wakes up at 5:30 a.m. most mornings, therefore, I spend many hours outdoors with him wandering the streets.

We go to the parks and playgrounds in the area; we walk up and down the East River promenade, we cruise the sidewalks and stroll through fields and basketball courts.

And the things we find on our adventures are indeed noteworthy.

In the parks in my area this past year alone, I’ve found a set of gold fronts fake teeth, a diamond ring, two loose diamonds and an assorted handful of other knick knacks and mementos.

I also misplaced my own diamond ring near a park not far from where we live in downtown Manhattan, so if you happen to see it, give me a call, will ya?

From my original Facebook post after losing my beloved wedding ring, which I still mourn!

I wrote a story about how several million dollars worth of diamond rings go missing…
